Review | Couleur Caramel Cosmetics

At the Adelaide Beauty Bloggers Conference this year Couleur Caramel Cosmetics were kind enough to give us goodies for us to try at home. Not only did I receive a goody bag but I won one too on the day. Lucky me!

But it's taken me a long time to get around to reviewing anything. I am so damn lazy. I had the products and Swatches photographed but I wanted to show you all how it looked on. I just hadn't gotten around to it. Procrastinator be thy middle name I assure you.

Couleur Caramel is an Organic Natural makeup brand. The products come in cute Biodegradable cardboard packaging that's either beige or red and super adorable looking as well as eco friendly.

When I tried the shadows out at the conference they were very chalky and had huge fall out but I think it was due to the fact the MUA palette was quite used and there was about 15 of us trying to use them!
Having had the amazing opportunity to use brand new ones in my own home I'm happy to report they're not chalky in the slightest. They're very soft and sleek. The texture is unlike any other shadow I've felt. It's not buttery soft it's quite sleek and smooth. The pigmentation is quite opaque as well.

Pearly Red Brown: A nice warm cranberry shade.

Pearly Pink Eye: Is actually a teeny bit pinker than it photographed as. It reminded me a lot of Mac's Sushi Flower. I think i'll be using this as a blush. It's a lovely shade.

Pearly Charcoal Chip: A slightly grey toned brown with micro sparkles.

Pearly Copper Brown: A warm neutral brown.

TUTORIAL Warm Smokey Eye

1. Pack Pearly Pink Eye along the moving part of your lid and blend it out, pulling the colour out to meet the end of your eyebrow to elongate your eye.
2. Using a pencil brush sweep Pearly Red Brown to your crease and outer v, blending it lightly.
3. Bring both those colours along your lower lash line, pulling them up slightly to meet the outer corner of your eye.
4. Using Pearly Charcoal Chip with an angled brush, lightly pat the colour along your upper lashline to thicken the base of your lashes and finish with a coat of your favourite mascara.

Voila. You now have a warm toned smokey eye.
