MOTD | War Girl Hex

If you haven't already you need to watch Mad Max Fury Road. It's GLORIOUS. The character design was something that gave me great interest. Furiosa's badass shaven head and greasy war paint, Immortan Joe's scarily grotesque body armour, the simplicity of the Wives and the savage scars of the Warboys all drew me in.

The War Boys in particular had my mind going. Not too much is given away about their backstory and origin but I've concluded from what I've read their appearance, degrading health and short lifespanes are directly linked to the radiation that pollutes the desert wasteland. Being bred from the women who are used to produce Mothers Milk may have something to do with it. Inbreeding is probably prominent in their world too. After all Immortan needs soldiers; and lots of them. They all have unique scarring and adorn their faces with a mixture of grease and dirt. Nux was especially interesting as his scarring seemed more fantastical as he has an entire scarified chest piece of a V8 engine and vertical scarring on his lips and mouth. My best guess is he or someone else sewed his lips shut for reasons unknown and for a long time for the scars to be that big and prominent. 

I did a MAD MAX instagram collab and decided to Gender Bender the War Boy into a Girl. And I love her. Her name is Hex! The million dollar question is would a 'girl' war boy have hair? Probably not due to radiation sickness but I can dream!
