Review | Luk Beautifood Natural Lipstick in Tangerine & Vanilla

Procrastinator be thy middle name. I've been meaning to sit down and have a little chat about natural makeup but when something requires research and checking resources you best believe it will wind up on the bottom of my to do list. Nevertheless, Natural Makeup

If your lucky enough in the Beauty Bloggers community sometimes you get luk'ie opportunities. Eh? Eh? See what I did there? I hate myself. Moving on. I was given the chance to try a lipstick made from pure fruit pigments.

In short Cindy Luken the Founder of Luk Beautyfood began experimenting at home to produce naturally made makeup using...food! What you see now at LukBeautyfoodDotCom is the result of over 7 years of hard work. All natural. All healthy. All Makeup!

In retrospect I probably should have gone for something with a pink tone in it but the vamp in me immediately wanted the darkest colour. Tangerine & Vanilla is a berry with a brown undertone. Not particularly flattering for my skin type but Oh So Nineties. The opacity is up there with the Revlon Balm Stains although the formula of the Luk lipstick feels less sticky and more balmy. Above is one swipe on the left and multiple on the right.

I'm feeling it! Easy application!

Whats also nice is the delivery. The product comes wrapped in it's own little roll out scarf pouch doo'dad and an assortment of history, information and a thank you note. I love brands who do that. Makes me giddy. Warm and Fuzzy feelings.

The lipsticks retail at a cool $24.95 and their product arsenal include eyeliner, black tea mascara, concealer, eyeshadow & more!

Good news, They ship internationally!

I know this is short, but I do so hope it's sweet.

Do check them out at Luk BeautyfoodDotCom

Do you have a favourite natural makeup brand I haven't heard of?

  1. I love that shade on you - and I I love it when someone is game enough to choose the darkest deepest shade instead of one of our perfect nudes! enjoy & tx Cindy :)
